    Faculty Administrator

    Description

    Valenture is an exciting new start-up in the online education space. Our mission is to evolve what it means to “go” to school by transforming physical limitations into digital opportunities. We do this by providing students worldwide with a fully supported, global online high school experience, steeped in academic excellence and rooted in sustainable practices. We believe in providing more than just a quality online education – we’re dedicated to building and empowering a purpose-driven, global student body and equipping them to make the best of both their individual and collective futures. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    The role:

    • Support students by generating a weekly workplan per cohort

    • Support students by creating detailed study preparation guides prior to test and exam sessions

    • Support Faculty by communicating staff updates to Student Support team

    • Support Faculty by checking attendance daily, and manage cohort calendars

    • Support Faculty by posting grades weekly

    • Support Faculty and students as required with growth plan monitoring

    • Invigilate exam sessions as required

    • Manage summative test calendar and send reminders to teachers and students

    • Create and update progression checkpoint documents for at risk students

    • Populate assessment analysis documents

    Requirements

    • Busy studying towards a Bachelor of Education or PGCE or newly graduated teacher looking for experience

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills

    • Experienced and comfortable using technology

    • Experienced in working with secondary school aged young people

    • Adept at meeting deadlines

    • Competent at administrative tasks associated with the position

    • Ability to work in an agile environment where innovation, change and adaptation are part of the everyday

    • Police Clearance

    What to expect

    • The incumbent will work on a variety of tasks, which could all be time sensitive, and will need to manage the time pressures when they arise.
