Feeder Truck Driver at Phakisa Group

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Valid Code 14 / EC Driver’s Licence
• Valid PrDP
• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience operating 3- and 4-axle delivery/feeder trucks or heavy-duty vehicles
• Experience in FMCG environments advantageous
• Good knowledge of vehicle safety and daily inspections
• Clean criminal record
• Medically fit
• Reliable and safety-conscious
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends and public holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate 3- and 4-axle delivery/feeder trucks to transport FMCG products between warehouses, distribution centres and customer locations.
• Safely operate the feeder truck according to site procedures
• Transport and feed materials to designated areas
• Conduct pre-start inspections and report defects
• Load, transport and discharge materials safely
• Follow site traffic rules and health & safety procedures
• Maintain accurate trip and operational records
• Perform basic housekeeping around the vehicle
• Report breakdowns, hazards and incidents immediately
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good operating condition
