Field Service / Workshop Mechanics at Afrimat

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:

• Minimum Grade 12.
• Qualified Earthmoving equipment Mechanic (Red Seal/Trade Test)
• Valid Driver’s License - Code 10/14
• 5 years’ experience as a Field Service Mechanic\ Diesel Mechanic
• Pre-employment medical required
• Computer Literate

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

• Always maintain professional workmanship standards
• Strictly adhere to applicable Quality Assurance Processes & Procedures
• Have knowledge of engines, hydraulics pneumatics, undercarriage and auto electrical
• Repair loaders dumpers excavators’ trucks & LDV’s within specification and agreed repair times
• Ensure complete, accurate and timeous job card feedback and repair reports
• Conduct troubleshooting, Fault Diagnosis and do RCA on failures
• Perform machine inspections on vehicles and compile backlog lists
• Coordinate assistants to carried out first line of maintenance tasks
• Pro-actively support & participate in safety & work practice related initiatives
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment in accordance with the applicable policy & prescriptions
• Keeping own working area clean, tidy & presentable always
• Managing & maintaining tooling in good, serviceable condition
