    Finance Innovation Specialist

    • Identify process efficiencies and implement new processes
    • Improve existing core training materials and create new or additional training materials to support the knowledge transfer.
    • Stabilisation support, support the process after go-live, by assessing the business impact of issues, tracking and following up on issues, assisting root cause analysis and resolution of issues.
    • Continuous Process Improvement, Knowledge of the efficiency and effectiveness attributes of world class processes, understand the performance metrics of an E2E process. Appreciation of continuous improvement techniques (such as LEAN).
    • Champion change management across the functions that are impacted by continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain Finance Shared Services standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
    • Process map and maintain up-to-date Finance’s Shared Services policies, with the aim of identifying structural and operational improvements.
    • Ensure all new improvements are documented in a standardized way and easily accessible by shared services. This entails documenting and simplifying all processes and policies in collaboration with the various Finance Shared Services teams.
    • Building effective professional relationships (both for him/her and the team) and establishing the team’s credibility to inspire admiration among business partners.
    • Managing expectations (of team and customers alike) and keeping commitments or promises.
    • Work with finance business architects and technology solution architects to ensure that technology is leveraged to drive improvements across Finance’s Shared Services.
    • Support PMO Oversight of all improvement projects affecting Finance’s Shared Services.
    • Support compliance audits, program evaluations and reviews to drive results and ensure that change is permanent.
    • Proactively support stakeholders, look for extra activities to help them.
    • A customer-focused “can-do” positive attitude to deliver excellent service to customers and business partners. Able to explain complex technical and process details in terms that customers and business partners understand
    • Provide regular updates and reporting on performance of the sub process(es)
    • Perform Root Cause Analysis

    Benchmarking/Best Practice

    • Assess and benchmark the performance of Finance Shared Services unit
    • Assess on best practice metrics

    Governance & Reporting

    • Understand the key control points within the process.  Ability to identify and rectify control weakness / failures.  Work with Internal and External Audit team

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Finance or related field
    • Project management qualification (a CPEM qualification is added advantage)
    • Lean Six Sigma will be an added advantage(Green Belt and above)

    Experience

    • Minimum 5- 8 years relevant working experience in Finance
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Finance Shared Service Centre Experience
    • Order to Cash (Billing and AR function) experience
