Job Description

• An established and reputable organisation in the Financial Services industry is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to provide strategic financial leadership and ensure the financial health and sustainability of the business.
• This pivotal role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong analytical acumen, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and cash flow management across all business units.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and audit packs.
• Maintain effective internal controls, including management of the Fixed Asset Register.
• Analyse financial results, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and propose corrective actions.
• Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Ensure payroll accuracy in collaboration with HR and maintain compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
• Develop and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive efficiency, accuracy, and best practices within the finance department.

Qualifications:

• B.Com degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (essential).
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Financial Manager or Senior Accounting role (required).

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant within the financial services environment or similar.
• Strong accounting knowledge with the ability to resolve complex financial issues.
• Hands-on experience in general ledger management, financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end processes.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong financial data analysis capability.
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and communication skills.
• Proactive, solutions-driven mindset with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
