Finance Manager at Cape Town Fish Market

Introduction
We are looking for a Financial Manager for the Cape Town Fish Market Head Office situated in Table View, Cape Town. 
In addition to excellent financial knowledge, the applicant must be an energetic person with a strong personality and excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. The person must be able to function effectively as part of a team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the financial management for all group companies
• Management of the groups’ financial accounting and reporting processes
• Overseeing daily processing (Bank reconciliations / Tax Invoices / Supplier invoices)
• Overseeing Debtors and Creditors reconciliation
• Management of reconciling & invoicing intercompany accounts with group companies
• Controlling inter-company loan accounts
• Petty cash and credit cards management
• Oversee the maintenance of fixed asset registers
• Inventory basic control knowledge
• Overseeing the completion of Statutory Returns (VAT, PAYE, Provisional Tax and or any other) as well as the calculation thereof
• Tax administration
• Short-term and long-term cash flow calculations
• Manage online banking platforms, keeping track of bank balances
• Debt reporting to management
• Monthly management accounts
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
• Compilation of financial statements
• Take responsibility for the auditing preparation of the different companies and the group as a whole with the external auditors
• Evaluate compiled monthly reporting
• Timely, accurate and complete preparation of weekly / monthly financial and management information
• Act as manager to financial accountants and financial administrators by planning and co-ordinate deliverable of the team to meet business requirements
• General management of the administration and finance department
• Coordination of all relevant information and documentation
• Advise and assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls and procedures
• Financial planning and budgeting in conjunction with management and directors
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Minimum requirements 

• SAICA / SAIPA / AGA / ACCA / CA(SA) qualification
• Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles
• Minimum of 3 years in a management role
• Experience in managing people
• Advanced Pastel knowledge 
• Pilot knowledge (advantageous) 
• Highly computer literate including Outlook, Word, Excel & SARS efiling 
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Valid driver’s license & own transport

Remuneration
