Finance Manager at Intelligent Debt Management

JOB DESCRIPTION

• To support the substantial growth and increasing complexities in our group, we are recruiting a Finance Manager. This role will work directly with stakeholders in management to understand and challenge drivers of resourcing requirements as well as provide controllership.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and solid business acumen, be capable of influencing stakeholders and improving processes. They should be unafraid to dive deep, while able to maintain a high-level perspective.
• This person needs to be a self-starter and be able to work independently. They need to find creative solutions to the challenges of the position. They will need to be dynamic and adaptable to the operational needs of the division.
• They will need to have a proven track record of leading and managing a department, and experience in reporting to management and executive level.

Responsibilities

• Growing and developing the finance team to meet business needs
• Full responsibility for the accounting function for the group
• Analyzing and reporting on all aspects of Group results according to IFRS standards.
• Advice and ownership of the implementing new systems and processes with a view to promoting efficiencies with automations
• Advising on appropriate accounting treatment of complex transactions, taking into account tax legislation, statutory requirements, accounting policies and auditor requirements
• Liaising with operations and commercial partners to drive results

Treasury Management

• Internal and External Auditor liaison for the group
• Managing financial modeling and analytical tasks
• Liaising with operations and internal representatives to resolve discrepancies
• Ad hoc tasks and analysis where necessary

Requirements
Requirements

• Must have BCom Accounting Honours or equivalent financial qualification
• Qualified CA(SA), CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred
• Must have at least 4 years’ work experience as a Financial/Management Accountant
• Past experience implementing efficient processes and systems
• Strong statutory financial accounting, reporting, and tax knowledge and experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Working experience in a Financial Service company highly advantageous
