The Finance Supervisor will oversee financial operations, reporting, and controls for payments and mobile money services, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily finance operations (reconciliations, settlements, and reporting)
Oversee wallet, merchant, and transaction reconciliations
Ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost tracking for payment services
Prepare financial reports and support monthend/yearend closing
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
Support audits (internal and external) and regulatory reporting
Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and settlement processes
Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Compliance teams
Identify process improvements and drive efficiency in finance operations
Supervise and guide junior finance staff
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
4–7 years’ experience in fintech, banking, or financial services
Strong experience in payments, reconciliations, and settlements
Knowledge of South African financial regulations and reporting standards
Professional certification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage
