Financial Accountant (Contract, Portuguese Speaking Person Required)
Responsible for month-end processes, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Responsible for COGNOS and VAT submissions.
To ensure accurate financial records concerning reporting both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
To facilitate COGNOS submissions timeously on a monthly basis.
Close off General Ledger and integrate timeously.
Ensure the integrity of Master Data within the General Ledger.
Preparation of the VAT return and IT14SD within the allocated timeframe.
Preparation of monthly treasuring confirmation.
Pull monthly IDU reports and ensure the accuracy thereof before submission to Business Unit owners.
Prepare business budget and forecast submissions ensuring that they are submitted within the timeframe and ensuring accuracy of the data being submitted.
Assist with the preparation of the internal and external audit process.
To keep abreast on legal and regulatory issues relating to accounting matters.
Education:
Must have a BCompt or equivalent degree
Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant experience in an accounting environment.
Must be able to speak and/or understand Portuguese.
Must possess a working knowledge of Syspro.
Must possess strong financial experience and skills and be able to deliver under pressure.
Must be able to work independently and within a team.
