Financial Accountant - KZN at AFA - Accounting and Financial Advisory

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze revenue transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with Accounting Standards
• Prepare and record revenue entries in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Perform monthly revenue reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports related to revenue
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition
• Assist with revenue forecasting and budgeting processes
• Stay current on revenue recognition standards and changes in accounting regulations
• Assist with ad hoc projects and analysis as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree / National Diploma in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification is a plus
• 2+ years of experience in revenue accounting or a related field
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards 
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
