Financial Accountant - Midrand at Teva Pharmaceuticals

The opportunity

Financial Accountant will assist Senior Manager Financial Controller and Accounting team with all Financial Duties.

How you’ll spend your day

• Ensure all filing of documentation is done timeously weekly and monthly. 
• Capture, balance and reconcile all cashbooks. (All entities) 
• Capture, balance and reconcile local creditors. (All entities) 
• Prepare monthly journal entries 
• Prepare Intercompany journals 
• Load weekly payments 
• Ensure all accounting transactions are correctly recorded. 
• Meet deadlines as per month end deadline list provided 
• Have thorough knowledge and understanding of work performed, processed and submitted. 
• Ensure all information required to complete month end is received and processed on time. 
• Ensure month end is completed and submitted on time. 
• Maintain Accruals, Prepaid Expense, Sundry customer and deposit accounts- all entities 
• Perform adhoc duties as required by Snr Financial Controller and Financial Accountant. 

Your experience and qualifications

• Bcom accounting degree or SAIPA registration
• 3-4 years’ experience (may include accounting articles)
• Knowledge regarding Sage 300 will be advantageous. 
• Able to plan, prioritize and adapt in order to meet deadlines 
• Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
