Financial Accountant at Motus Holdings Limited

Position Overview    

The Financial Accountant contributes to the company’s goals by providing financial support aligned to the company’s strategy.

Specific Role Responsibilities    

• Month-End Deliverables (within required deadlines)
• Preparation of accounting schedules
• Preparation of cashbook
• Posting of journals
• System reconciliations
• Bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing & Submission of hyperion
• Preparing & Submission of income tax
• Preparing & Submission of VAT
• Preparation and distribution of management accounts
• Ensure accounting for the deliverables from other departments within finance:
• Credit Control
• Commissions
• Claim payments
• Head Office
• Ad Hoc Duties 
• Assist in budget and forecast cycles
• Attend to multiple internal and external audits throughout the year
• Assist in the identification of internal control weaknesses and suggest/implement improvements
• Provide financial analysis and insights in support of business decision making needs

Qualifications and Experience    

Qualifications

• B. Com degree with accounting major or similar preferable

Experience

• Experience in MS GreatPlains (GP) and GRIDpreferable
• System accounting experience is an advantage
• Minimum 5 years post- graduate experience
• Skills and Personal Attributes    
• Super-User/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills compulsory
• Deadline driven, team player that is reliable and dependable with a positive attitude
• Attention to detail and accuracy with analytical insights
