Financial Accountant
Responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the accounting function - up to trial balance
Ensuring the accuracy of internal financial data
Managing billings & collections
Preparing and analysing internal financial reports
Monitoring performance against budgets
Managing financial transactions
Participating in the budget setting process
Evaluating and managing financial & compliance risks
Preparing tax calculations for review
End to end supplier management & creditor reconciliations
Streamlining accounting and financial processes
Financial forecasting & reporting
Overseeing certain administrative functions
Maintaining existing financial systems, identifying and implementing improvements
Tracking and managing subscription accounts

Requirements
A degree or diploma in financial accounting
3+ years of experience
A strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/IFRS for SMEs)
An understanding of South African taxation (CIT, PAYE, VAT)
Proficiency in cloud accounting software packages
Strong communication skills
Proficiency in using spreadsheets
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Being highly organised and having the ability to multitask well.
