Intelligent Debt Management (IDM), a Financial Services group based in Cape Town, seeks a Newly Qualified CA to perform a Financial Analyst role for two companies recently established by IDM

Job Description:

This role has been created in order to manage the financial aspects of two growing companies within the IDM group and will be working directly with the relevant stakeholders of these entities

Responsibilities:

• As Financial Analyst, you will have responsibility for financial planning, financial record-keeping, financial reporting, and the management of financial risk Within this, you will need to:

• Ensure that both companies’ Board, Management, and internal users are provided with accurate and relevant financial information and insights, financial advice, and financial models

• Assist in developing profit enhancement initiatives, motivating these initiatives to more strategic levels for approval, and implementing these initiatives

• Ensure that both companies expenditure is only committed to after applying best practice procurement principles

• Ensure that appropriate financial and operational controls are implemented in the business to minimize potential fraud and financial loss

• You will report directly to IDM’s Group Financial Manager but will have indirect reporting lines to IDM’s Chief Finance Officer, as well as the Business Heads

Requirements:

• CA (SA) Essential (preferably trained with the Big 4)

• Financial Services audit experience is advantageous but not essential

• Have strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Have strong planning, organizing, and time management skills

• Be able to work independently as well as be a team player
