Urgent vacancy: Financial Controller

Our client in the hospitality industry is urgently searching for a Financial Controller to be based in a Five Star Hotel in Sun City. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Accounts department, like preparation and management of the hotels Financial budgets, implementing and overseeing all activities relating to the financial aspects of the hotel.

Skills and qualifications required:

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting or related qualification.
• At least five (5) years experience working as a Financial Controller or similar role.
• Hospitality industry experience, preferably in a five star environment.
• Practical knowledge of general hotel operations and a good knowledge of Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, budget and revenue systems.
• VAT knowledge advantageous.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Should have a high command of MS Applications like Excel and PowerPoint.
• Should possess strong Financial knowledge.
• Analytical skills and very well organized.
