    Financial Controller - Stellenbosch

    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Controller to join our Finance team. The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance and control of our recently launched Zeam product and associated legal entities, ensuring accurate daily and monthly reporting, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making processes. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, financial markets, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Monitor, analyze and present the daily and monthly financial performance of the various product’s including balance sheet, revenue, costs, and profitability. 
    • Prepare monthly management accounts, quarterly reports for legal entities. 
    • Daily financial controls 
    • Conduct regular reviews of product costs and margins and spreads, identifying areas for improvement. 
    • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes for product lines. 
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support product development and strategic initiatives. 
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models and dashboards. 
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures. 

    Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 
    • Proven experience as a Financial controller, financial manager, or similar role. 
    • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial reporting. 
    • Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling. 
    • Advanced proficiency in financial software. 
    • Strong communication and presentation skills. 
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
    • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. 

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Professional accounting or finance certification (e.g., CA, CFA) is a plus. 
    • 2-5 years experience in the Financial services and financial markets industry
