    Financial Controlling & Planning Analyst

    The Finance Controlling & Planning (FCP) Analyst will contribute to the success of the company by providing reliable and accurate US GAAP accounting, management reporting, costing and budgeting to allow local and regional management to make better informed business decisions.

    Your ‘day to day’

    BUDGETING

    • Independently prepare operating budgets (OB, LRP, and RF) in line with US GAAP, PM standards and quality covering the following:
    • working closely with business partners in the analysis and preparation of budgets: end-to-end for LOGD and Distribution
    • centralizing and consolidating inputs from departmental budget proposals into one report ensuring consistency and comparability of these inputs
    • preparing explanations of variances with prior budgets and actuals
    • working closely with Finance management in the preparation of budget presentations for regional and corporate management
    • co-ordinating together with finance controlling and financial planning teams the OB process to ensure package ready for regional/corporate approval

    BUSINESS DECISION SUPPORT

    • Prepare Ad hoc presentations and analyses based on requests from management. Work closely with Finance management in the review of business plans. Evaluate measures that will improve the long-term profitability of the company. Provide ongoing budget input and co-ordinate the analysis of internal business issues. Fulfil role as key point of contact in market and main face-to-face contact point for financial planning & controlling.

    PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

    • Ensure that Finance Controlling & Planning as a service department, is responsive and, where required, adapts, or introduces new financial business practices as a result of changes in our environment. Master all IT tools existing and in addition make proposals for either modified tools or new tools to improve planning process. Liaise with IS in implementing such modifications.

    PROJECT BASED ORGANISATION

    • Support FC&P projects design and deployment, and where applicable other business projects.
    • Support and develop awareness within the organization on key financial processes and respective business impacts through communications, training, and information sessions to increase the financial capabilities throughout the organization.

    Who we’re looking for

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Management Accounting or relevant qualification is essential
    • Chartered Accountant CA (SA), Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA), or equivalent an advantage
    • Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience ideally in a commercial finance function within a FMCG multinational group
    • SAP would advantageous
    • A high level of comfort in Advanced MS Excel
    • Theoretical knowledge of different financial and analytical techniques
    • Knowledge in Accounting Principles as well as Financial Analysis (Balance Sheet and P&L)
    • Strong communication -both oral and written
