Define Financial and Operational strategy:

• Analyse and monitor the organisation's financial performance to identify timeous opportunities to improve financial performance across the business.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to reduce costs and improve profitability and simplify JDI business model.
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports timeously. Adhere to all group deadlines.

Financial Management:

• Interpret the financial implications of decisions and convey to management of division and risk assessments in decision making.
• Analytical review and interpretation of management data.
• Continuously monitor balance sheet and initiate actions to optimise and control balance sheet investment (Inventory Management and Return on Investment).
• Manage financial targets of the business, departments and branches.
• Financial planning, reporting and process optimisation

Financial planning:

• Implement strategic financial planning that aligns with commercial objectives.
• Oversee the division’s budgeting process, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Identify and manage key drivers influencing financial performance.
• Reporting on:
• Deliver precise and comprehensive reports on all aspects of the division.
• Manage budget-related reporting and operational insights.
• Continuously assess and enhance reporting tools for relevancy and effectiveness.
• Oversee the preparation and management of year-end reports.

Manage accounting practices and systems:

• Ensure accounting policy is in line with IFRS requirements.
• Maintain the relevance and effectiveness of financial policies.
• Oversee the capturing, controls, and reporting of financial data.
• Ensure systems and procedures remain relevant and efficient.
• Strengthen the control environment, improving operational processes and efficiencies.
• Review and implement controls to mitigate risks and enhance overall control environment.
• Oversee and monitor Service Level Agreements and contracts.

 Manage relationships:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve departmental and organisational goals.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that supports the organisation's culture and values.
• Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews for finance team members.
• Facilitate professional development and training opportunities for staff.

Requirements:

• Professional certifications as a Chartered Accountant (CA).
• 5-10 years relevant management experience.
• Candidates with SAP experience will receive preference.
