A well-established organisation operating within the mining and industrial manufacturing sector is looking for a Cost Accountant to join their finance team. As the Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing and analysing costs across the business, ensuring accurate job costing, effective cost allocation and reliable financial information to support operational decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing and reviewing job costing, ensuring all expenses are correctly allocated
Managing WIP and ensuring jobs are closed accurately and timeously
Extracting and analysing job costing data to identify trends and opportunities
Investigating cost variances, shortfalls and profitability across jobs and job types
Maintaining an accurate costing database for trend analysis and future forecasting
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Relevant Accounting or Cost Accounting qualification.
