Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repairs

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs promptly.
• Ensure all repairs meet company and industry standards.

Installation

• Assemble, install, and align machinery and mechanical components as per specifications.
• Test and commission new installations to confirm proper functionality.

Operational Efficiency

• Collaborate with production teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Propose and implement efficiency improvement measures.

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations during maintenance and repair tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.

Qualifications & Experience

• Trade Certificate as a Fitter (NQF Level 4 or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing, engineering, or a related environment.
• Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with welding and machining is advantageous.
