Experience in Fitting and working with various disciplines is advantageous such as boiler making and electrical
Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
Exceptional knowledge of electrical & mechanical equipment & principles.
Knowledge of Maintenance Management Methods.
At least 3 years’ post-trade experience in a mining and/or heavy machinery and facilities involving complex production processes
Duties and responsibilities
Constructing and assembling mechanical systems; for repairs, replacement, and/or modifications of parts of equipment
Ensures maximum reliability and availability of mining equipment and maintains good integrity of mechanical equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Assist in planning, developing, and implementing building maintenance plans
Maintenance of crushing & shaping equipment, conveyor systems, vibrating equipment, dust suppression and extraction systems, hydraulic and pneumatic reticulation etc.
Perform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled services to ensure implementation of best engineering practices and asset care is in place.
Drive and be responsible for continuous improvement, equipment or process upgrades and repairs
Complies with the company’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures & Mine Health & Safety Act and assist in the generating of such policies.
Perform adhoc duties as required by management.
Must be available on standby.
Deliver results under a high-pressure operation and environment
Assist in training of Apprentices and Learners when required
Willing to assist in various operations when required
Operate heavy tools and work manually with their hands to complete tasks – using own initiative.
