Duties and Responsibilities    
Key performance areas (Duties and Responsibilities): 

• Able to operate lathes, milling machines, and other equipment to create precision parts and components according to specifications.
• Assembling and fitting parts together to create machinery or mechanical units, following technical drawings and specifications.
• Conducting regular maintenance checks on machinery and equipment, troubleshooting any issues, and performing necessary repairs.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and adheres to safety protocols during manufacturing.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to understand the specifications and requirements.
• Selecting, setting up, and maintaining tools and equipment for various machining tasks.
• Working alongside engineers and other technicians to develop and improve manufacturing processes and solve technical problems.
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any alterations made during fabrication.
• Following health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment, and appropriately using personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participating in initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations within the workshop or production facility.
