About the Role

• Mackenzie Stuart is currently working with a reputable Taste and Flavour manufacturer searching for a Senior Flavourist. The position is based in South Africa.

Key responsibilities:

• Successfully create flavours utilising innovative tools.
• Work collaboratively with sales and marketing departments as well as product managers on customer specific product profiles.
• Remain current with trends within the flavour market as well as remaining up to date with regulations that may impact ingredients and technologies within the company.
• Work closely with flavourist team to win briefs.
• Work with Innovation teams as required to develop and test innovative flavours.
• Provide efficient customer interaction in order to drive business growth.
• Provide technical support across all divisions.

About the person

• Minimum of 5 years within a flavourist role.
• Demonstrated ability to develop flavours in all categories and modify flavour formulas in order to meet customer requirements.
• Excellent oral and written skills.
• Extensive knowledge of raw materials and ingredients costing as well as functionality and compatibility.
• Expert tasting skills and ability to create and adjust flavour formulations.
• Ability to form and maintain internal relationships with colleagues.
