We are looking for a talented and experienced Florist to join our client’s dynamic team in Cape Town City Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting unique and visually stunning floral arrangements that align with the company’s commitment to quality and creativity.
Reports to: Store Manager
Location: Cape Town City Centre
Schedule: Monday – Sunday, Shifts within Retail Mall Hours (9am-9pm)
Salary: Market-related and commensurate with experience
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience as a Florist or Floral Designer
In-depth knowledge of different types of flowers, greenery, and floral arrangement techniques
Proven ability to stay on top of floral trends
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to design floral arrangements suitable for various occasions
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Computer literate (emails, point of sale systems, Microsoft Suite)
Formal certification or training in floral design is preferred but not mandatory
Responsibilities:
Design and create captivating floral arrangements for various special occasions
Understand client preferences to ensure the floral design meets their vision
Demonstrate knowledge of flower care, nutritional needs, and the longevity of floral arrangements
Advise clients on flower combinations, meanings, seasonal availability, and care instructions
Package flowers to prevent damage during transportation
Maintain the freshness and visual appeal of floral arrangements through proper care and handling
Assist with sourcing high-quality flowers and materials
Manage inventory and place orders for floral supplies as needed
Collaborate with the team to enhance the overall aesthetic and success of floral projects
