Food and Safety Officer - Benoni, Gauteng at Boxer Superstores

Minimum Requirements

• National diploma/3 Year Degree in Food Science/Safety.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Food Safety.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene policies, regulations, and relevant systems.
• Familiarity with FDCA, HACCP, PAS96, PRP.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate with excellent attention to detail and a proactive, deadline-driven approach.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies after thorough research and approval processes.
• Build effective external relationships, particularly with the Department of Health for safety reports.
• Identify, evaluate, and document risks, staying updated on regulations and acting accordingly.
• Administer food safety processes, including report compilation.
• Enhance compliance through self-inspections, audits, and proactive training initiatives.
• Investigate and address food-related complaints, reviewing incidents for root causes and implementing corrective actions.
