Foreman Mechanical SR at Sibanye-Stillwater

Minimum Required Qualification:

• Be in possession of Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Engineering Studies
• Hold a relevant / valid Artisan Trade certificate and Statement of Results / Gap Analysis (RPL)

The Appointee should:

• Have at least 5 years’ relevant experience as an Artisan
• Have at least 2 years’ relevant experience as an appointed Foreman, or equivalent in proven acting exposure, Have proven track record of availability of equipment under his/her watch
• Have proven track record and knowledge of: Planned maintenance & Availability of equipment you have maintained
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Have good analytical and decisions making skills
• Be computer literate in full MS Office Suite
• Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
• Be in possession of a valid driver’s license

Advantageous Qualifications:

• Foreman Certificate will be added advantageous.
• Complete the material syllabus in a Foreman certificate program
• Complete law and technical abilities syllabus and assessments in the foreman's certificate program;
• Process plant experience shall be advantageous - Plant specific experience in a mining environment , have knowledge in projects
• Previous surface operation and engineering experience, especially Furnace Operation, Pumps and pumping systems including pipes, Compressors, conveyor belts, Pressure Vessels and general Equipment Experience

Knowledge of SAP

• Route Cause Failure Analysis experience including 5 why analysis

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct planned task observations and coaching Ensuring that all employees are competent and trained to do work safely Lead risk assessments and implement necessary recommendations Conduct incidents and accidents investigations Ensure elimination of all safety hazards
• Conduct regular safety meetings Implement safety standards, procedures and codes Control working cost budget Provide input into the budget process Drive cost saving initiatives and make recommendations Implement and monitor maintenance of equipment’s to the required maintenance strategies Manage Critical spares
• Monitor the implementation of and adherence to operating and maintenance procedures Monitor the equipment performance (trend analysis and rectify deviations) Recommend re-design of systems to improve the maintenance strategy and safety of the business Implement and manage projects for continuous improvement Ensure efficient utilization of resources to fulfil maintenance strategy requirements
• Implement SAP PM strategy requirements Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of resources Analyze system reports so as to improve the equipment performance Provide coaching and on-the-job training to reporting staff Development and maintenance of individual development plans for reporting staff Manage performance of reporting staff Ensure fair work allocation for team members Inspire team members towards high performance
