    Minimum Required Qualification:

    Key Responsibilities:

    Artisan Fitting UG

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • Be in possession of a Matric / Grade 12 / N3 Qualification
    • Have a valid recognized trade test certificate

    The Appointee should:

    • Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the repairs and maintenance of clear and dirty water pumps, locos, hydraulics and loaders.
    • Have good knowledge of mining industry equipment, as well as the prescribed safety and health regulations.

    • Do pre and post assessments of equipment sent for repairs, pumps, locos and loaders.

    Fitter UG

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • Be in possession of a Matric / Grade 12 / N3 Qualification

    The Appointee should:

    • Be in possession of a Matric / Grade 12 / N3 Qualification
    • Have a valid recognized trade test certificate
    • Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the repairs and maintenance of clear and dirty water pumps, locos, hydraulics and loaders
    • Have good knowledge of mining industry equipment, as well as the prescribed safety and health regulations
    • Have 2 to 5 years’ experience in a workshop environment
    • Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
    • Clear security screening record.
    • Valid driver’s license (if applicable).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Engineering Fitter  Do pre and post assessments of equipment sent for repairs: pumps, locos and loaders  Providing and maintaining a safe environment for all employees by ensuring full compliance to the Health and Safety regulations  Completing daily registers and job cards  Perform breakdown maintenance.  Perform tool changeovers on hydraulic presses  Inspect, service, repair, and overhaul machinery.
    • Standards Enforcement and Quality Assurance  Assist in establishing programs to maintain and improve the quality of maintenance and the maintenance systems employed to minimize unplanned downtime on key equipment.  Ensure that employees have clear work expectations and plans  Direct maintenance personnel to continuously evaluate compliance and strict adherence to the established procedures and policies.  Assist in establishing a monitoring system to measure maintenance quality and improvement initiatives.  Provide technical assistance and direction to other functional groups in order to drive quality improvements and enhance the maintenance function.  Interface with regulatory agencies for complaint investigation and technical interchanges to present the company viewpoint, and during regulatory inspections serve as the subject matter expert.  Assist in establishing cross functional teams to address cleaning, lubrication and first line maintenance functions.
    • Planning and Scheduling  Facilitates a one to three-year maintenance management strategy for the operations.  Liaises with planned maintenance officers to ensure inspection and audit findings are scheduled for remediation in accordance win the established priorities.  Monitors compliance to maintenance schedules and programs interventions to remedy deviations.  Actively manage legal maintenance compliance.  Assist with the preparation of schedules and the supervision of major works/shutdowns.  Develop the critical spares and sub assembly register for all equipment on the operations.  Allocate labour resources and equipment to scheduled and priority activities so as to maintain and ensure high levels of labour, equipment and operational performance standards.
    • Information and Early equipment Management  Ensures that equipment data, nomenclature, descriptions, component serialisation are correct as captured in the ERP System.  Updates technical manuals and documents as appropriate.  Develops equipment and process performance parameters for monitoring purposes.  Continuously review equipment task lists in the system in light of maintenance improvements, equipment developments and modifications.  Participation and representation in relevant forums.  Keep up to date with the latest technology available.  Compile accurate and professional reports.  Provide direction and participates in new equipment specifications.  Conduct and participate in RCM exercises for all new equipment before commissioning establishing the maintenance strategies and task lists to be adopted.  Participate in Group wide RCM template development and review for primary production equipment and review for primary production equipment.
    • Building a values-based organisational culture  Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment.     Chief Surveyor UG

    The Appointee should:

    • Be In possession of a Mine Surveyors Certificate of Competency (Govt Ticket)
    • Have at least 10 years’ experience in surveying within a metalliferous mining environment, of which 5 years should have been in a management role.
    • Hold SAGC Registration as a Professional Mine Surveyor and or registered as a member of the Institute of Mine Surveyors of South Africa (IMSSA).
    • Have extensive experience in mining, specifically ore definition, reconciliation, extraction and mine surveying.
    • Be proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Office and SAP) and have advanced computer skills in MineCAD, Micro Station and CADSMine
    • Have in-depth understanding of Survey methodology, equipment and instruments. Sound understanding of relevant legislation (Mine Health and Safety Act, Mining Act, Minerals & Petroleum Act).
    • Be able to perform complex, extra-ordinary Surveys (i.e. shafts, Gyro and Check Surveys).
    • Have skills to gather, integrate, interpret and model, present and represent data.
    • Be able to visualise and conceptualise 3D drawings and layouts
    • Be a Systems / holistic thinker with Cross-discipline integration.
    • Have a Clear security screening record
    • Be declared medically fit to function in the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at a relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational.

    Advantageous Qualifications:

    • Being in possession of B-Tech Survey / BSc / NHD MRM, GDE

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Holding a legal appointment in terms of section 17.2 of the MHSA.
    • To effectively manage the survey function by coordinating survey activities and available resources to maximise ore extraction as well as utilise best practice methods.
    • Collate and deliver strategic reports to provide MTS with a monthly review of the Mine’s achieved extraction.
    • Establish the most effective and appropriate measurement system for ore accounting.
    • Focusing on technical and strategic support by ensuring understanding of Survey requirements at all levels within the business.
    • Bench-marking by continuously reviewing best-in-class technical services and new methodologies, practices and technologies
    • Trend analysis by managing risks through constant monitoring of the processes of data acquisition, database management and data interpretation.
    • Fault-finding by conducting regularly informal reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities to improve business performance
    • Ensuring plans and systems are regularly audited to determine their effectiveness and applicability, and to ensure compliance against defined standards
    • Comply with Survey standards, plans, practices and systems through Investigate, understand and defined nature of the business, specifically with the Survey discipline as key differentiator.
    • Ensure that Survey strategic plans and operations are integrated and aligned with the MTS strategy.
    • Review current standards, policies and procedures and ensure that it support effective execution of Survey plans and are aligned with legislative requirements.
    • Determine current skills gaps and critical roles within the organisation. Determine discipline specific training requirements in collaboration with the Section and Functional Heads to ensure the relevancy and significance of formal training provided.
    • Ensure that Succession Planning is aligned with the organisational strategy.
    • Ensure that surface plans are updated and complied with the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources requirements and standards within the shaft boundary
    • Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment and ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
    • Setting and approving budgeting parameters for Central Services in line with business requirements and financial objectives

    Artisan Boilermaking SR

    The Appointee should:

    • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults) with English Literacy.
    • N2 Platers Theory.

    • Section 13 or 26D (completed learnership / apprenticeship) Boilermaker Trade Certificate as recognised by the QTCO.

    Foreman Mechanical SR

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • Be in possession of Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Engineering Studies
    • Hold a relevant / valid Artisan Trade certificate and Statement of Results / Gap Analysis (RPL)

    • Have at least 5 years’ relevant experience as an Artisan

    Advantageous Qualifications:

    • Foreman Certificate will be added advantageous.
    • Complete the material syllabus in a Foreman certificate program
    • Complete law and technical abilities syllabus and assessments in the foreman's certificate program;
    • Process plant experience shall be advantageous - Plant specific experience in a mining environment , have knowledge in projects
    • Previous surface operation and engineering experience, especially Furnace Operation, Pumps and pumping systems including pipes, Compressors, conveyor belts, Pressure Vessels and general Equipment Experience

    Knowledge of SAP

    • Route Cause Failure Analysis experience including 5 why analysis
