Foreman: Raw House and Refinery at RCL Foods

Job Description    

• RCL FOODS is searching for a Foreman to join our Sugar business that is based in Malelane, Mpumalanga. The primary objective of this position is to provide support and to render a service to production to ensure that the plant operates at a high standard and all equipment is readily available. This role will take care of the back end functions of the Raw House and Refinery stages.

Minimum Requirements    

• Matric/N2 Mechanical plus Mechanical Trade tested and/or Fitting.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience as a trade tested Artisan in Mechanical and/or Fitting.
• At least 3 years in a Supervisory capacity.
• Knowledge of planned maintenance systems.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be computer literate (MS Package).
• Working knowledge of SAP system will be an added advantage.
• To be considered for appointment, candidate must be a South African citizen.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Promote and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
• Manage the mechanical maintenance function of the section in compliance with internal procedures, standards and good engineering practice.
• Provide technical input for the setting up and optimisation of equipment.
• Maintenance of equipment in the plant.
• Compile and control operations and maintenance budgets for the Rawhouse and Refinery.
• Plan and control stop day and off crop work.
• Ensure that required quality and equipment standards are met in the design and installation of projects.
• Report any accidents, incidents immediately to the Engineer.
• Conduct incident investigations and reporting of such for Rawhouse and Refinery.
• Management of subordinates in the Rawhouse and Refinery Workshop.
• Lead the maintenance team to achieve reliable Rawhouse and Refinery equipment
• Development of the workshops to comply with the required Engineering Standards.
