Grade 12/ Senior Certificate plus an undergraduate qualification at NQF level 6 as recognized by SAQA will be added advantage.
Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a driving test.
An appropriate experience of working in a forensic pathology laboratory will be an added advantage.
Inherent requirements of the job: Must be able to work shifts (including night duty, weekends and public holidays). Willingness to work extra hours on short notice. Willingness to work with and ability to lift corpses of varying weights. Willing to work with human excreta, fluids including blood.
Computer literacy including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Virtual meeting platforms literacy
Valid driver's license except for people with disabilities.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Admission, storage and release of corpses.
Completion of relevant administrative and legal documents.
Assisting with conducting of post-mortem examination and identification procedures.
Attendance of court as and when required.
Transportation of corpse from scene to place of post-mortem.
Cleaning of autopsy room equipment according to health and safety requirements.
Preparation of corpses before and after autopsy.
Will be required to work standby duties (after hours and overtime)
