Forklift Driver - Novus Print at Novus Holdings Ltd

Job Description    

• Novus Print: Paarden Eiland is seeking to appoint a Forklift Driver to receive, store and issue stock according to prescribed procedures and principles, whilst maintaining safe occupational safety standards within the Buying and Stores department. The successful incumbent will report to the Storeman.

Key Duties and Responsibilities    

• Receiving, storing, and issuing of stock according to prescribed procedures and principles
• Knowledge of safety standard operating procedures relating to moving equipment
• Maintaining safe occupational health and safety standards
• Maintenance and operating of clamp and forklift machines
• Working knowledge of operating a handheld scanner
• Adherence to all Company safety policies, procedures, and SOP
• Ad-hoc tasks include general housekeeping and assistance within the department

Educational Requirements    

• Grade 12 or equivalent

Experience Requirements    

• Valid Forklift/Clamp licence
• Valid Code 01 / A (Counterbalance Truck / Side shift) and a valid Code 02 / C (Counterbalance Truck / Clamps) license
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the same or similar role
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in operating a forklift/clamp or any other moving equipment
• Knowledge of the general layout of a production or manufacturing environment
