    Foundation Manager

    About the job

The St David’s Marist Foundation (the School Trust of St David's Marist Inanda) is poised to move to the next level of expansion and engagement, both within and beyond the St David’s community, in support of the innovative, dynamic development of St David’s, particularly as society and education redefines itself in a ‘new time’. In preparation for this the Foundation has expanded the existing structure and is seeking to appoint a FOUNDATION MANAGER.

Please note that proven fundraising and donor management experience is required for this role, and please also note the three requirements to submit as part of an initial application - applications will not be considered without all three items.

Reporting to the Director of the Foundation this fulltime role will be an important part of the development and expansion of the existing Foundation programmes, provide support to the growth of the next-level Foundation programmes and strategic direction and manage the day-to-day and administrative requirements of the Foundation.

The Foundation Manager will be a proactive, highly motivated, compassionate, and detail-orientated individual with experience in the non-profit sector, specifically related to fundraising and donor development. The Foundation Manager will have strong communication skills and be comfortable relating to a wide range of constituents in particular the St David’s community and the Foundation’s existing regular donors. Strong computer literacy is a prerequisite as well as working knowledge of a donor management system or CRM. Skills to manage the Foundation’s day-to-day non-profit-related administration are important. Experience in managing the logistics of small to mid-size events will be of benefit. An understanding of grant funding research and application processes will be beneficial. Sensitivity and the ability to work with confidential information is also required for this role.

This is an opportunity to join the vibrant, innovative and dynamic, heart-centred St David’s Marist family to work together with our donors and supporters to bring ‘Access and Excellence’ to existing and future beneficiaries of the St David’s Bursary Programme, plus to the entire St David’s community and campus through the programmes funded through the St David’s Marist Foundation. The incumbent will be employed by St David’s Marist Inanda (the School).

Only suitably experienced candidates should apply for this role. Interested applicants should submit a covering letter outlining why they are the best fit for the role, a Curriculum Vitae with a least 3 contactable references and a one-pager outlining an idea for a small Foundation fundraising campaign and how you would roll it out. Email these three items to [email protected] with the subject line FOUNDATION MANAGER APPLICATION and your name.
