Job Purpose:  

• To manage security teams, oversee access control and surveillance infrastructure, and ensure strict compliance with applicable regulations

Appointment Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Security Management (NQF Level 6).
• Grade A PSiRA Certificate
• At least five years’ relevant experience in supervisory role
• A valid Code B driving license
• Computer literacy
• No criminal record.
• No pending criminal cases (awaiting trial) or disciplinary cases.
• Must be willing to undergo a vetting process as determined by the organisation

Primary Functions

• Develop and implement comprehensive security, policies, and emergency response protocols to protect company assets, personnel, and infrastructure.
• Oversee and manage the deployment and maintenance of physical security hardware, including CCTV networks, biometric access control systems, and alarm systems.
• Recruit, train, and manage on-site security personnel, dispatchers, and external security contractors.
• Ensure adherence to regional and national security frameworks (e.g., PSIRA guidelines in South Africa).
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to mitigate potential risks.
• Lead investigations into security breaches, theft, or policy violations and coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
