    GAO Value Chain Senior Analyst - Isando Plant Snacks

    Responsibilities

    What we’re looking for:

    • The newly formed PepsiCo Global Agriculture Office (GAO) is charged with building a highly productive vertically integrated potato supply chain.  The GAO is tasked with accelerating value realization across the function (currently approx. $50MM per annum) to deliver an additional $ 100 MM by 2027 and $ 200 MM by 2029 across mature as well as high growth/high risk emerging markets. 
    • To make full use of value and productivity opportunities, the global agriculture office will utilize a data driven approach to evaluate global potato spend. Thereby developing a single source of truth for global potato spend with agreed segmentation across commodity and manufacturing cost components. This will support the business to identify global value opportunities and to measure the cause of change and impact consistently across markets.

    Accountabilities

    • Administrate the GAO Value Realization Working Group (VR WG) including the organizing of meetings, capturing, and follow-up of actions. The primary aim of the VR WG is to articulate tested, agro productivity (compressible spend and value engineering) and other value projects across the Global Value Focus Areas (Variety, Seed, Production Practices, Post-Harvest Practices and Commercialization), including the financial assumptions; and to support the ‘Lift and Shift’ of these projects across suitable global markets.
    • Develop, maintain, and analyze a Global Potato Gross Commodity Indexing model to benchmark global input cost models and investigate value opportunities.
    • Administrate the GAO Value Realization Playbook ensuring that it is up to date and that all stakeholders are updated on new value projects that become available for lift and shift.
    • Update and administrate progress against GAO Value Realization Focus Area Targets that span across Variety-, Seed-, Production-, Post-Harvest- and Commercialization optimisation. Ensuring that projects and assumptions are up to date and aligned with all the relevant stakeholders.
    • Assist with the ongoing development and maintenance of an End-2-End Potato Value Chain Model across priority markets.
    • Support the harmonization and standardization of consistent cost measures and definitions across sectors for raw materials and manufacturing costs; enabled through automated digital platforms and systems interoperable through global ERP systems.
    • Maintain a Global Agriculture Productivity overview as per sector reported productivity in PowerSteering and provided analysis where needed.
    • Develop and maintain GAO commercial global overview database including but not limited to, commercial agreement terms (pay for performance), production volumes, production areas, raw material costs, potato manufacturing costs, Storage and Freight costs and foreign exchange impacts.
    • Support the GAO digitization team with the automation of data capturing and KPI tracking across priority indicators. Managed through the development and implementation of digital tools and systems to support improved process such as pay for performance contracting and automated farm management system benchmarking.
    • Support Sectors and BU’s with financial assumption and impact analysis of value realization opportunities.
    • Assist with the development and Ag Value Realization and Productivity training including LSS across sectors.

    Qualifications

    What will qualify you for the role:

    • Candidates for this role should have a procurement or Agri business or sciences degree, master’s or higher preferred, and more than 5 years of relevant experience.
    • Proven working experience across relevant industry.
    • Proven experience with financial modeling and tracking.
    • Strong with data analytics and digital solutions.

    Strong project management skills

    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor message depending on audience.
    • Strong digital and information management skills – ability to use existing software platforms and data tools to extract information and intelligence that support the GA objectives.
    • Good collaborator with proven communication skills and business orientation.
