General Manager - Opencast at Hire Resolve

Description:

• Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced General Manager (Opencast) to join their mining company based in North-West. You will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to drive sustainable performance, financial control, risk management and organisational growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the overall business strategy, aligning operations, resources and departmental plans to achieve organisational objectives.
• Oversee operational performance, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery of production and service targets.
• Drive governance, risk management and regulatory compliance across all areas of responsibility.
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, capital allocation and long-term sustainability.
• Lead and develop senior management teams, fostering a high-performance, accountable and values-driven culture.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to support business continuity and strategic growth.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
• Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency
• Opencast Blasting Certificate
• Professional Registration with Mine Manager Affiliations
• 15 years' experience within an opencast mining environment with 6 years' experience in a Senior Management role
• Experience on MS Dynamics F&O, Reporting tools (MS Power BI)
• Valid Driver's License
