General Miner at Anglo American

Job Description:

• You will be responsible to ensure safe blasting operations and execute a safety and healthy environment on a daily basis and recorded thereof. The role will supervise a crew in fulfilling its specific l activities.                                                                     

Your responsibilities will also include:

• Ensure that working areas are safe through inspections and maintenance
• Allocate work schedules and tasks to team
• Continuously liaising with supervisors and team
• Ensure that safety and mining standards are adhered to
• Good employee relations
• Effective administration of necessary systems
• This role is at a Band C2 level reporting to the Shift Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Matric
• Valid underground blasting certificate
• Fitness certificate 

Experience

• 3 years UG Miner experience

 Knowledge and Skills                                                    

• Passed area specific training modules for logistics role at a Miner level in mining.
• First Aid Certificate
• Good communication skills
