    Engineering Scheduler Asset Management

    Job Description:

    • The focus of this role is to support the Work Management process by ensuring that all approved work is completed on time.  The main functions will include:

    Health and safety:

    • Demonstrating health and safety practices through conducting inspections of work area/facilities, and equipment as well as ensuring compliance as stipulated in the policies, procedure, and codes of practices.

    Maintenance Scheduling:

    • Scheduling and tracking newly approved work and upcoming work as well as escalating critical matters or risks that may impact operating performance to enable completion at scheduled time.

    Reporting:

    • Reporting on a weekly and monthly basis on scheduled vs actual maintenance activities and resource usage by providing timely oral and written feedback to management.

    Technical:

    • Ensuring that corporate and statutory financial accounting and asset protection requirements relevant to the position are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner.

    Continuous improvement:

    • Actively review systems and procedures regularly to maximize effectiveness as well efficiency and provide leadership and supervision for continual improvement of processes and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Matric with Physical science and Mathematics 
    • Basic artisan training module (advantageous)

    Your experience will include:

    • 3-5 years Planned Maintenance or Production Experience in Mining/Process Industry
    • SAP Planned Maintenance experience
    • MS Office proficiency 
    • Experience utilising the Prometheus scheduling tool (advantageous)
    • Additional information:
    • The successful candidate will need to undergo a Medical Fitness Test
    • Code 8 driver's license

    General Miner

    Job Description:

    • You will be responsible to ensure safe blasting operations and execute a safety and healthy environment on a daily basis and recorded thereof. The role will supervise a crew in fulfilling its specific l activities.                                                                     

    Your responsibilities will also include:

    • Ensure that working areas are safe through inspections and maintenance
    • Allocate work schedules and tasks to team
    • Continuously liaising with supervisors and team

    Practitioner Operational Risk

    Job Description:

    The operational risk management (ORM) business process is a key business process supporting the achievement of operational objectives at Anglo American Platinum (AAP) operations. As a Practitioner Operational Risk you will be responsible for the following activities but not limited to:

    • Plan, implement and coordinate the implementation of ORM to all aspects of the operational risk profile

    • Support and coordinate the application of the ORM four layers of risk management at the operation

    • Critical control monitoring 

    • Implement and execute risk activities against our integrated risk management framework operational risk management processes, systems, standards and procedures.

    • Implement job risk assessment specifications and advise the operation on required skills development to enhance the skills and competencies of employees

    • Change management of all implementation and execution of different risk assessments 

    Qualifications:

    • National Diploma in Risk Management, Science or Engineering

    • Advanced Safety qualification certificate 

    • Risk assessment advanced techniques course

    • ISO 31000 certification or attendance of the course

    Role-specific knowledge and experience:

    • Atleast 3- 5 years experience as a Risk practitioner or Risk specialist within operational mining, processing, and engineering related industries

    • Courses in management systems (9001, 14001, 18001), risk qualification, audit qualification

    • Detailed understanding of the Platinum value chain and operational trends and risks.

    • An understanding of the operational aspects associated with mining operations, more specifically processing in the mining industry

    • Demonstrated understanding of risk management within a technical environment

    • Knowledge and experience with risk assessment techniques such as WRAC, Bowtie Analysis, HAZOP/HAZAN and other industry recognised techniques and tools.

    Talent Acquisition Operations Project Analyst

    Job Description:

    The Talent Acquisition Operations Project Analyst will need to have problem solving skills and be a critical thinker. The ideal candidate will think quantitatively, analytically and creatively

    You will also be responsible for the following:

    Qualifications:

    You should have: 

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • 2 – 3 years’ previous experience in project management administration or co-ordination

    • Previous experience with project documentation, flow charts and schedules

    • Demonstrated experience in working on project management software (e.g. Microsoft Projects / Smartsheet /other)  

     Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: 

    • Strong organization and time-management skills

    • Excellent stakeholder management skills

    • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on detail

    Executive Search Specialist

    Job Description:

    The purpose of the Executive Search Specialist is to manage the end to end hiring process for Executive roles (primarily Band 4) across the enterprise globally, delivering a high quality and high touch internal client and e candidate experience. 

    Key responsibilities include: 

    • Provide expert advice to HR and hiring managers regarding all aspects of executive recruitment (attraction & sourcing strategy, outcome management, offer, and pre-hire) create comprehensive candidate pack aligned with the role profile and briefing conversation that support the definition, desired outcomes, critical qualifications, career-pathing, marketing, attraction, and selection of senior-level positions.

    • Source candidates through referrals, networking, social media, and search research. Screen and conduct thorough behavior-based interviews with internal and external candidates, providing information on professional background, career progression, alignment to role and organization, compensation, employment restrictions, regulatory licensing, and other required credentials.

    • Meet the organization’s hiring needs against pre-determined Service Level Agreements including days to fill, search firm utilization versus options, ethnic and gender diversity, offer acceptance ratio, and engagement completion rates.

    • Identify opportunities to increase recruiting effectiveness through identifying process improvement opportunities and monitoring innovation in the external executive recruiting industry.

    • In collaboration with colleagues, develop the strategic direction of the executive recruiting function.

    • Work effectively with providers of assessment, reference-checking, and relocation services.

    • Create search strategy documents and customized executive hiring reports to identify success factors and report back on any barriers to success in completing a search or pipelining project.

    Qualifications:

    • Required: An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours degree or equivalent)

    • Desirable: Post-graduate qualification

    Technical Knowledge:

    • Successful track record of in Executive Search within corporate in-house Executive Recruitment team and/or search firm.

    • Track record in senior search within Oil & Gas, Mining, manufacturing and or similar industrial sectors.

    • Experience of dealing with Senior Level candidates and hiring managers.

    • Expertise in dealing with and understanding the inner workings of retained search firms.

    • Understanding of relevant Legislation which applies to hiring data protection, privacy, discrimination).
