General Worker - GWK Properties, Douglas at VKB Group

Job Description

• The general worker is responsible for the overall upkeep & maintenance of VKB's properties and garden in the Douglas offices. To ensure the offices and other venues are kept clean in order to create an orderly environment for staff and customers.

Requirements

• Grade 10 minimum 
• 1 - 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• The applicant should be in good physical condition as the position involves physical work and standing for extended periods.
• A willingness to work overtime, on weekends and holidays when required

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining, cleaning and sorting of the working areas.
• Maintenance of the garden at Head Office and training center
• Ensures that the workplace complies with the necessary workplace standards
• Ensures that the workplace continuously complies with safety regulations
• Undergo all training interventions, and successfully complete the training interventions
• Clean the offices once daily;
• Vacuum the offices weekly;
• Wash the windows monthly;
• Wash the carpets quarterly;
• Assist the mail room with preparation of mass mail for distribution purposes;
• Clean the boardrooms and other venues after meetings / functions;
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
