Minimum Requirements    

• Education: Matric certificate (Grade 12) – essential.
• 3 Years experience as a Wheel Alignment / Workshop general assistant (automotive workshop experience essential).
• Valid driver’s licence
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair principles.
• Ability to interpret technical data and follow manufacturer specifications
• Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.

Duties and Responsibilities    

Vehicle & Workshop Assistance

• Assist the Wheel Alignment Technician with preparing vehicles for alignment and general maintenance tasks.
• Help move vehicles into and out of the workshop bays safely (non-driving duties unless licensed).
• Fit and remove fender covers, wheel covers, and basic protective equipment as needed.
• Support with loosening and tightening wheel nuts under supervision.

Tool & Equipment Support

• Ensure tools, equipment, and workshop areas are kept clean, organised, and in safe working condition.
• Help set up alignment equipment, tools, and parts for daily tasks.
• Report any faulty tools or equipment to the supervisor.

Cleaning & Housekeeping

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including sweeping, cleaning spills, and tidying work areas.
• Assist with waste disposal, recycling of old parts, and general workshop cleanliness.

Parts & Materials Support

• Assist in fetching parts from the storeroom/parts department.
• Help with unpacking, sorting, and organising stock where required.

General Support Duties

• Support the technician during wheel alignment, tyre fitment, and suspension-related tasks.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Service Manager or Technician.
