GIT Data Engineer Internship (Cape Town)

- Job Field Engineering / Technical , ICT / Computer , Internships / Volunteering
Minimum Qualifications /Requirements
- SA Citizen
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics (or similar/relevant)
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, R, SQL)
- Proficiency in at least one database management tool (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Based in Cape Town or willing to relocate
- The candidate must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act
- Clear criminal record essential
Skills:
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to design efficient and scalable solutions
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Comfort in working with diverse teams, including data scientists, analysts, and IT staff
- Communication Skills: Ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to the company's workflows
