    Global Project Controller

    Job Description

    This position is monitoring the investment for the Geochemistry Growth Plan, supporting project management, and providing regular progress reports to stakeholders.

    More Specifically, You Will

    • Work closely with management and business leaders in the Geochem network to create project scope and objectives to prepare and review capex applications
    • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
    • Preparing monthly analyses and reports on expenditures, progress, commitments, budget performance and schedule performance
    • Collaborate closely with project delivery teams both client and internal to integrate all time, cost and quality information, including onsite projects
    • Utilize effective communication and facilitation skills across the organization to resolve problems and eliminate roadblocks/distractions
    • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior SGS management such as the Operations Council and business unit managers as required
    • Prepare financial report/presentation to support the Global Geochem Business team as needed
    • Ad hoc projects and extended hours may be required

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management or financial controls
    • Knowledge of major aspects of procurement, project controls and financials, including tracking/monitoring all schedule, financial aspects of work
    • Some technical knowledge or have led projects within a technical/engineering environment
    • Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner
    • Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint & Outlook)
    • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment
    • Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition
    • Ability to work well with others & independently
