Graduate Accountant at eThekwini Municipality

Job Purpose    

• To unable the incumbents of the post graduate accountant to undergo a 3 year in-house triaining programme which provides candidates with comprehensive training in accounting and finance  with the treasury clusters.

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Preparation of the draft estimate report.
• Assist with the preparation of the annual report and annual financial statements.
• Preparation of the annual and multi-year operating and capital budgets for the assigned output units.
• Compensation for occupational injuries and diseases costs.
• Undertake various reconciliations for the preparation of the AFS.
• Provide adequately for all bad and doubtful debts.

Essential Requirements    

• B.Com Degree (NQF Level 7) or equivalent with Accounting as a major.
