Graduate Electrical Engineer at MECS (Pty) Ltd

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and requisition instrumentation for assigned projects, ensuring standards, calculations, and verification checks are met.
• Prepare and update requisition indexes, drawing indexes, and project instrument indexes; review flowsheets and instrumentation drawings.
• Develop control/safety system requirements and prepare technical bid analyses; attend system FAT/SATs and coordination meetings.
• Review, approve, and distribute supplier documents; assist Procurement Department and ensure timely availability of certified drawings.
• Provide guidance on instrumentation engineering matters, advise on project issues, follow up on construction work, and suggest efficiency improvements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BSc, BEng, BTech in Electrical Engineering (Power)
• None to 2 years’ experience
• Low, Medium and High Voltage switchgear 
• Protection settings and Electrical calculations 
• Hazardous Areas
• Electrical Construction experience (advantage)
• Smart Plant Electrical software (advantage)
• E-Tap software (advantage)
