Job Advert Summary    

• An Exciting new opportunity has become available within Hollard Group Risk. We are looking to recruit a Graduate in our Wellness Team.
• The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and managing rehabilitation plans for claimants to ensure they receive appropriate rehabilitation to enable them to continue working, or return to work, after illness or injury.  This role involves working very closely with a team of claims assessors, whilst assessing claimant’s needs, developing personalized rehabilitation strategies, collaborating with healthcare providers, and liasing with employers with the aim of returning the claimant to work as soon as possible.
• To work closely with claims assessors to determine claimant’s current physical, psychological and functional profile, and whether the individual is a good candidate for rehabilitation
• Develop, implement and monitor individualized rehabilitation and graded return to work / recovery at work program plans in collaboration with claimants, employers and members of the multidisciplinary medical team
• Coordinate rehabilitation plans (including requesting quotations for treatment, keeping track of rehabilitation expenses, ensuring assessment and progress reports are received timeously)
• Schedule meetings between employer and rehabilitation team to facilitate graded return to work programs and monitor claimant’s progress
• Monitor and review claimant’s progress with their rehabilitation and treatment programme regularly and adjust rehabilitation plans as needed
• Maintain detailed and accurate summaries of claimant interactions, assessments and progress reports
• Participate in case discussions, team meetings and professional development activities

Educational Requirements    

• Matric
• Postgraduate medically aligned degree is required e.g. Occupational therapy
• Recently fulfilled community service requirements
• Registered with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa
