Bachelor degree or Diploma - Marketing or Business related degree
10 years’ experience as National Key Account Manager in FMCG or other such related roles
Minimum of 5 years Export experience in FMCG environment – outside of NSBL countries (Namibia / Swaziland / Botswana / Lesotho)
Distributor management.
Commercial acumen
Proven negotiation and selling skills
Advanced communication skills
Conflict management experience
Proven track record in managing a team
Valid passport for extensive travel into Africa markets
What will be your key responsibilities?
Be category partner of choice with the customers & 3rd Party distributors.
Own customer & 3rd party distributor plans &/ Joint Business plans with account to boost category growth, sales, customer market shares and margin.
Own the customer & 3rd part distributor P&L to deliver on target business shape
Responsible for the annual trading terms / contracts of all customers & 3rd party distributors that are in scope
Own category and brand execution in-store at account in the context of Perfect Store by
Delivering the right assortment and NPD meeting target WD levels
Develop a tailored promo/support plan in line with the segment requirements
Creating great visibility on shelf, and off shelf (e.g., POI) -> customer/channel specific
Own Customer & 3rd party distributor volume forecast accuracy (baseline, NPD, and promo) other channels: identifying new business opportunities & markets.
Lead, coach and develop a team of Customer Development Managers & Market Managers.
Through sales analysis provide the business with data insights and analytics required to run their business.
Drive compliance to Mars QMP (Quality Management Processes) standards
Manage the training requirements for 3rd party distributor staff (linked to distributor capability program).
