Group Finance Manager at SA Taxi

The SA Taxi Group continues to grow and has a high degree of complexity. The role of the group financial manager is to provide accurate and timely support to the head of finance on the reporting of group results monthly for both internal reporting purposes and for reporting to head office, management of external audit involvement and the systems and integration that support the broader finance team.

In addition, this role will also be responsible to provide the greater finance team with support and oversight through day-to-day transactions and processing and also includes servicing the various business segments and stakeholders through appropriate reporting of financial results.

• Monthly reporting and group reporting 
• Responsibility for technical and operational aspects of the finance function
• Review and manage the improvement to the group financial accounts and related reporting processes;
• Review and assess monthly, the analysis of budget to actual results and work effectively with the profitability team and provide insights to improve forecasts;
• Assist with the review and analysis of provisions (including both IFRS17 and IFRS9);
• Assist with the BBBEE reporting process to ensure that the various pillars are well managed and that group results are positioned correctly;
• Team management (including 3-5 subordinates) 

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 6-8 years post articles experience
• CA(SA)
• Proven experience in group accounting and reporting.
• Proven experience in preparation of consolidated and separate AFS in line with IFRS.
• Proven experience in preparation group consolidated monthly management accounts.
• At least 3-5 years industry experience (preferably in a fast-paced environment).
• Proven experience interacting with multiple teams and departments.
• Very good computer literacy (Windows, MS Word and Excel)
• Pastel Accounting or any other Accounting software package experience advantageous
• Understand general ledger structures and reconciliations
