    Group Financial Reporting Specialist

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and deliver statutory financial reporting for all Group companies.
    • Prepare separate and consolidated IFRS financial statements.
    • Manage annual tax computations and tax-related disclosures as part of the statutory financial reporting function.
    • Oversee group external auditors and manage deadlines.
    • Provide advice and support to finance teams on IFRS accounting matters.
    • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate financial processes while maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Support the finance function with ad-hoc tasks and business improvements.

    Skills & Attributes:

    The ideal candidate should have:

    • Strong analytical and technical accounting skills, with experience in IFRS reporting and implementation. Knowledge of IFRS 17 is advantageous (training will be provided).
    • Experience in drafting multi-legal entity separate and consolidated IFRS financial statements.
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
    • Excellent reconciliation and interpretation skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while delivering high-quality results.
    • Strong prioritization skills and ability to work under pressure.
    • Good knowledge of accounting systems and financial statement production software (Acumatica, Xero, and Draftworx preferred, but training will be provided).
    • Advanced Excel skills and strong overall computer literacy.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • A proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable team player who thrives in a dynamic environment.
    • A drive for process improvement and efficiency.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Qualified Chartered Accountant – CA(SA).
    • Insurance industry knowledge and experience are beneficial but not required.
