Group FP&A Finance Analyst at MultiChoice

Purpose of the Position: 

• Assist the FP&A Business Partner in providing commercial support and insights. Perform scenario modelling and analysis of business functions.  Responsible for identifying new analytic trends/ data needs and repeatable analytic solutions.

Key Performance Objectives
Tasks
Provide consolidated planning and targets for MCG Group

• Prepare and disseminate guidelines and targets
• Review budget and forecast submissions
• Continuously monitor progress of BU’s versus 3-year plan and reasons for deviations and propose correcting measure

Perform Financial Planning and Analysis

• Consolidate operational plans and targets from MCG business units
• Perform ad hoc analysis including modelling activities for commercial transactions
• Participate in FP&A projects
• Maintain and execute relevant segment FP&A procedures
• Prepare and collate the business unit and functional area FP&A reports
• Analyse consolidated 36-month rolling forecasts of Income Statement and Cash flow statement & Core Headline Earnings

Qualifications

• CA (SA)

Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years’ post article relevant experience in Financial Planning and Analyses or similar role
• Advanced excel skills
• Sound knowledge of IFRS
• Understanding of predictive models
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working with IT and BI teams,
• Understanding of the immediate and broader business contex
