Group Lead: Quality at The Coca-Cola Company

• The purpose of this role is to strategically lead and elevate quality and food safety performance across all markets by driving group-wide initiatives, building capabilities, and ensuring consistent implementation of world-class standards and system.

Key Duties & Responsibilities    

• Develop and lead the execution of a group-wide quality and food safety strategy that aligns with global benchmarks, enabling markets to achieve consistent, high-impact outcomes.
• Build market-level capabilities by deploying quality frameworks, conducting skills uplift programs, and supporting the implementation of globally aligned quality management systems.
• Support markets in achieving and maintaining international certifications (e.g. TCCC standards, ISO), ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Promote a values-driven quality culture by influencing behaviours, leadership practices, and team engagement across all markets to build accountability and ownership.
• Leverage data and benchmarking to identify underperformance, guide corrective action plans, and lead strategic interventions that uplift market-level quality outcomes.
• Initiate and oversee enterprise-wide quality improvement projects, introducing new technologies, digital tools, and innovation to advance food safety and process control.
• Act as a central support resource for complex quality issues, product recalls, or critical incidents, guiding markets through risk mitigation, resolution, and recovery processes.
• Create structures for sharing best practices, lessons learned, and innovations across markets, ensuring a harmonised and continuously evolving approach to quality.

Skills, Experience & Education    
Skills:

• Deep understanding of quality management systems (QMS), industry standards, and best practices, particularly in the food and beverage sector, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in quality assurance.
• Ability to identify inefficiencies, propose innovative solutions, and implement process improvements that enhance product quality and operational performance while minimizing risk.
• Expertise in local and international regulations governing quality and food safety, ensuring the organization adheres to relevant laws, standards, and certifications

Experience:

• 8 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment focused on quality assurance and food safety.
• Experience working with and developing Quality Management systems and processes.
• Continuous Improvement experience.
• Experience leading and managing Quality teams.
• Quality assurance experience in multiple countries at varying degrees of maturity and proven track record of capability building and coaching.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science Microbiology, Chemistry/Biochemistry or Engineering.
• Honours Degree in Food Science would be advantageous or equivalent with a business qualification.
