    Group Sales Manager

    • Moonstone Information Refinery is looking for an individual responsible to articulate and implement Moonstone Group’s strategy for selling all products or services and develop forecasts and strategies to achieve sales at price levels to ensure profitability.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop a sales strategy for the Moonstone Group in line with its objectives.
    • Facilitate the successful implementation of the sales strategy ensuring the achievement of the Moonstone Group objectives.
    • Understand the competitive landscape and market trends.
    • Develop and facilitate a 3–5-year sales plan in line with the Groups strategy plan.
    • Implement and facilitate a 3–5-year the sales plan to take current and new products to the market.
    • Develop all necessary procedures and processes to ensure that the sales function operates efficiently and effectively and achieves all sales objectives.
    • Monitor the sales performance of competitors to ensure that the company maintains and develops its competitive position.
    • Establish and develop a partnerships sales channel.
    • Responsible for the achievement of sales, profit, and strategic objectives of the business units.
    • Monitors and observes the brand and makes forecasts, identifying new trends ahead of the curve.
    • Ensure the business has a competitive advantage and keeping ahead of its competition in the market.
    • Develop and maintain financial policies, processes, and activities.
    • Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and financial activities.
    • Make operational decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, and justifiable, in support of business objectives.
    • Manage business risks by establishing and maintaining internal controls and feedback systems to monitor the operation of the department.
    • Develop and submit reports on the sales strategy successes, weaknesses, and opportunities.
    • Monitor the performance of the sales function and take remedial action where necessary to ensure that sales targets are met.
    • Report on forces that shift strategic directions
    • Process relevant data and information, translating it into actionable strategies that drive sales and lead to achievement of targets.
    • Develop and promote weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives.
    • Drafting detailed and accurate sales reports.
    • Work with all Business Units to identify and prioritize sales focus areas and all product offerings and services.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal customers to ensure that the company’s maximum sales potential is realized.
    • Understands all the products in all-Business Units to tailor unique strategies.
    • Utilize personal contacts, networks, and relationships to identify and develop the sales function.
    • Manage the development and updating of content for brochures and prospectus to support the marketing of all products.
    • Build strong relationships with external partners and consumers and regularly interacts with them.
    • Attend and host sales workshops, seminars, and industry events.
    • Conduct regular and consistent research on the latest market best practices and trends.
    • Manage and build key relationships.
    • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals

    Required Knowledge and Skills:

    • In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and best practices.
    • Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines.
    • Analysing raw data and information, transforming it into actionable sales strategies and approaches
    • Evaluating product/market situations
    • An in-depth knowledge of the business’s product as well as standard strategic, analytical, and marketing concepts
    • A deep understanding of the business’s marketplace models as well as the opportunities and limitations that come along with it.
    • Possess extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices.
    • Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
    • Project management.
    • Experience in development and managing a budget.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
    • Experience in a sales and marketing management.
    • Well-spoken with the ability to communicate in both Afrikaans and English.
    • Leadership – able to lead finance team and motivate them to reach goals and deadlines.

    • Relationship Management Skills

    Experience:

    • At least 10 years of working experience in a sales position within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

    Qualification:

    • A master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Communications, Marketing, Business Management, Business Administration, or any other related filed.
