Job Advert Summary    

• To assist qualified Diesel Mechanics in response to planned and un-planned work in order to ensure a high level of plant equipment reliability and availability. Adhere to SHE, legal, statutory and regulatory structures and frameworks and promote a culture of compliance. 

Minimum Requirements    
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics
• N1 with Previous experience in automotive type of work will be advantageous
• Valid Driver’s license

EXPERIENCE:

• 3 - 5 years relevant artisan in a Heavy engineering Industrial and/or manufacturing environment
• Computer literate
• Working in a heavy mining industry will be an advantage
• Exposure/experience of engines/hydraulics/drive-trains/transmissions

Duties and Responsibilities    
DUTIES:

• World class availability, reliability and serviceability of plant, equipment, and tools
• Achieve acceptable service quality
• Comply with all approved business processes and Engineering Standards.
• Comply with all relevant legislative standards
• Optimise asset usage and performance (availability & reliability)
• Ensure high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers
• Application of company best practices / engineering standards (ACP’s / Risk Assessments)
• Maintain housekeeping, safety, health and environmental standards (SHEQ compliance)

OTHER/BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCE:

• Strong inclination to technical, root cause identification and problem-solving skills
• Pro-active, self-disciplined and solution driven
• Ability to adapt to harsh working environments
• Be highly organized
• Willing to work overtime and do standby duties
